Since we opened in May 2019, Wheat and Barley has been committed to our local community. Everything is made in house from scratch, with love and locally sourced ingredients. When customers visited us with special dietary needs we listened and, in October 2019, we overhauled our menu to focus on ketogenic, gluten free and vegan options, without sacrificing the great flavors our German chef is known for. Our space is also set up to host local bands for intimate concert experiences, with a comprehensive sound system and a house drum set.

You'll be hard-pressed to find another spot in the city that offers such great food for people with all sorts of dietary restrictions. If you love meat but your friend is vegetarian and tired of house salads, our menu is just for you! Have a schnitzel taco in a cheese shell while your friend tries our turnip hash brown sandwich. No longer are special diets an afterthought; they are at the core of our dining philosophy. For example, every sandwich can be served as a taco or a salad instead, retaining the same core ingredients but offering an entirely new way to enjoy them! We also have ketogenic gluten free flatbread crusts as an option.

We now offer Brunch every Sunday from 10am - 3pm! 

Please ask our lovely staff for catering options as well as custom cakes and desserts. Inquire with us to rent out our space for your private function.
